The cripple speaks

I'm beginning to understand why my aged acquaintance such as eg my aunt used to answer the question 'How are you?' with 'Oh, you know, good days and bad.' No rhyme or reason to it, but I have good days and bad, and this was a bad. Knees that annoyed me by going click-click-click all weekend and yesterday settled into an immobile cramp that neither meds nor exercise would touch. May just as easily vanish tomorrow. Thus arthritis.

Mind, it would help if my acupuncture studio would stop cancelling appointments on me. I gather there's something wrong with their building, so shou ga nai. But this occurs just as those disintegrating neck discs, that were quiet so long, make themselves felt again after that little bout of gardening I did three weeks ago. Next day my left little finger was pins and needles numb. It gets better after acupuncture and then gets worse again, spreading down the side of my hand. The mercy is that it doesn't hurt, quite different from its first manifestation ten years ago. But I'd like it gone and that will only happen with several sessions a week of real pins and needles in the neck.
