|10:03 pm - Daydreams|
My random reading of other people's journals, whether DW or LJ, plus an ativan to counter a late evening Pepsi, has left me with a new dream- living in England with a partner who drives, and on weekends tootling about to various spots of interest, however one defines interest- old houses, old churches, stately homes, small villages: just about anything except mountains. Though since living in England is currently as unlikely as a serious introvert acquiring a partner at 68, I might as well posit that both my arthritis and my acrophobia have become non-issues and I could indeed hike five miles up some Northumberland tor or Welsh mountain..
Travel, with an agreeable companion. Pipe dream indeed.
If one is going to dream, one may as well dream thoroughly and enjoyably.
Ahh yes. Speaking of which ... the hubby is taking the kiddies (although technically they aren't any more - but that's just splitting hairs) to go back for my mother-in-law's 80 birthday. ...
And while I probably would enjoy the trip ... I've begged off this time. Citing work as an excuse. I only have just started and as a part timer anyway I don't get much time off anyway. Ahahaha!
They will be visiting Blackpool - why ... I have no idea. Plus, I think it will be good for them to have time away from me and more importantly ... Some time to myself. Which I haven't had in forever.
Of course the first thing I do is to plan a sleepover with a friend. Where there might be cooking, or sushi, popcorn and perhaps a lot of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I almost can feel like I'm in Uni again.
I will worry of course - probably the whole time till they get back, but I'll live through it I guess. ^_^
And ooh hiking up a Tor, would be grand indeed.
*hugs* - It's good to dream. I like dreaming. I dream that I go to Japan all the time. And speak the language fluently too! So yeah. It's good to dream.
Have a good weekend.
Time for oneself is very very good and so rare in the life of the husbanded and bechilded. Make the most of it. Sleepovers and sushi sound just about right.

I like your dream! We could go look at prehistoric sites too!
Definitely prehistoric forts, always at the top of high hills.
