Not a music person

-so I should be more careful about listening to music. I have a collection of tapes (yes, tapes; some day the Luddite will learn how to turn CDs into mp3s and *then* how to get them onto a player, but it's beyond me now.) They date from the 80s and 90s and I used to listen to them when I was sick and incapable of doing anything else. (Not being a music person means music can never be background. It's listen to it and do nothing else, or don't listen at all.) Since I'm sick again I thought I'd have recourse to the old time waster. And it was fine as far as it went, but as ever-- now I'm thoroughly earwormed by a bunch of singers I'd rather not be, like Joni Mitchell and Joan Baez, both of whom have piercingly ugly voices, and Mary Travers, who is smooth but bland.

Should pull out the opera tapes, to drown the memories out.

(Certainly a dose of instant time travel. Ahh the 80s. What a strange time.)

And I see I too have been hit by DW's 'will not crosspost' bug.
