Not the least irksome aspect of these strengthening exercises is the blasted counting. I can manage tugboat one tugboat two tugboat three tugboat four tugboat five OK, but not when it's twenty reps of same. Finally realized that the first four lines of Camptown Races at a reasonable speed is five seconds, so I stretch my calves and tilt my pelvis to that. Even better, the first half of Lennon's Hide Your Love Away is 30 seconds, so I sing that while stretching the IT band, which takes the whole song for one rep both sides. A vast improvement.
