Made noodles today-- Thai Kitchen instant rice-- boiled in the packaged broth with tofu. Then drained the broth off, rinsed the noodles in cold water, added grated ginger, green onions, and katsuo flakes, and sprinkled over that a sauce of ponzu shoyu, sesame oil, and sushi soy sauce. Really good, but cold (OK, cool) noodles don't fill you like hot ones and I ate the whole thing in five minutes.
Otherwise there are still lilacs on the bush for the Glorious Twenty-fifth, a little faded but respectable. Only I didn't go to work today so I left them where they are.
