Hypochondria

The phenomenon of concrete neck and bindertwine headache didn't survive the loss of hormones, for which you may believe I'm grateful. But I have the former today in spades-- indeed, had it last night, which led to fitful sleep and 5 am waking. Codeined it and went back to bed with no great hopes, and woke three hours later with everything stretched out. But now it's back, carrying despair with it. Maybe it's the ghastly pressure changes, or maybe it's a mild flu, or maybe it's an incipient sinus infection, because it feels like all three.

Downside of all this is that anything one reads takes on a vague nightmare tinge. So I'm sure Banks' The Business is an interesting book, but I found it more than a little messy.
