Blow, winds, and crack your cheeks! rage! blow!

Well, that was exciting if a touch apocalyptic. Temperatures dropped quickly to cooler than it was last night, which is nice. But if placid TO is going to be having hurricane winds and monsoon rains, every tree on my property is getting several metres chopped off its top, including the trifurcating one braced to prevent it being blown over. (That's the cherry, whose fruit this year rotted on the branch and now falls as furry grey mummified objects. Have had it with that tree. Also the raccoons that nest in it, five of whom I watched descend its trunk tonight and then climb a drainpipe to the garage roof.)

I hope now to get my brain back, having turned up for the wrong shift twice this week, given someone $6 for a $6.25 tab and then waited for my change, and forgotten a) that I had an aunt and b) that I was going to visit her. I also mislaid Thursday somewhere.
