All things change. But I was astounded to walk into By The Way today, newly opened after renovations, to find it *all different*. By The Way has been around since, oh, the 70s I think: was once a place called Lickin' Chicken, then became one of Toronto's first middle eastern restaurants (you cannot conceive what a boring place to eat this town was, well into the 80s.) It was famous for having the slowest service of any Bloor St eatery.
