Diem perdidi

Was heading out to the store when I heard thunder rumbling. Sun out but clouds building so I trundled back up the street. Heavens opened ten minutes later and stayed open all afternoon and into the evening so I sat on the couch and did crosswords and now can barely move.

But I did get to talk to C from work, poor woman, who always manages to cheer me up. And I did find my missing chequebook from my line of credit, even though too late to use it to pay the insurance. But at least now I can reimburse myself for it if so inclined.
