Bah very humbug

Insurance renewal comes yesterday, premiums boosted by several hundred dollars as ever. This time I look at the whole thing and find they have my plumbing, electricity, and roof unchanged since 1910. So call the broker and update all the info, as well as the new water tank, and sorry I don't know what amps my fuses are. Broker crunches all the info and says it won't make any difference to my premiums. Premiums just go up because they go up. So fine, I pay the first installment with my credit card.

Today an email. Insurance company wants an inspection of my fuse panel. Unless I want to change over to breakers, which please do before March 24.

Why do I need insurance anyway?
